About Thrive
When Lucian and Rai met they shared the dream of traveling and performing around the world. In the spring of 2022, Thrive was born and this dream finally became a reality. Drawing from each of their extensive musical backgrounds, this attractive and sweet-sounding duo has charmed audiences from all over the world with their renditions of billboard hits and soulful classics. They are currently rocking shows in Phuket, Thailand.
Lucian
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Lucian began playing the saxophone in 2017 as a touring punk rock and funk musician in Shanghai, China. Boasting roots in classical music, he brings exquisite technique and tone quality to all of his performances. Now, as one-half of Thrive, he showcases a repertoire of soul and R&B classics on the tenor sax, capturing hearts and moving hips. He also sessions with DJs over house music beats, bringing energy and expressiveness to the dance floor as Looshdawg.

Rai
Rai is a singer-songwriter from Irvine, California. Her music infuses soul and funk and features sweet harmonies layered over compelling lyrics. She has had residencies at many notable venues in Phuket including Cafe Del Mar, Yona, Carpe Diem, and Fuga beach clubs. She has been performing since 2012 when she won her first city-wide talent show in Seattle, WA. Since then, she has released a number of studio singles with her first album set to release this summer. As the vocalist for Thrive she uses her experience singing RnB and the blues to enrich her performances in any genre. She believes that music has the power to bring out the best in people and uses the mic to encourage this positive energy.
