About Thrive
The name Thrive comes from the duo that started it all - after meeting and falling in love during the pandemic, Lucian & Rai chased their dreams and left California to perform music in Thailand in 2022. Lucian's mastery of many musical styles on saxophone and Rai's warm, angelic voice resonated deeply with their audience, and in a few short months, Thrive was performing at Phuket's top venues. From there, their influence expanded as they performed on bigger stages in more countries. Now they are not only the go-to entertainment solution in Phuket but also leading a world-class network of artists and entertainers, in both commercial performances and original releases. Lucian
Lucian’s journey of a thousand stages and ten thousand hours began in the San Francisco Bay Area of California:
By age 17, he had performed twice at world-renowned Davies Symphony Hall as the principal clarinetist of the Oakland Youth Orchestra
By age 25, he was the lead saxophone player of two nationally famous bands in China, Durian (榴莲乐队), and the BrickSka (板砖乐队), and had already focused on live sax + house music with the Burning Man community of Shanghai (Dragon Burn).
By age 30, he had recorded on five albums, a dozen singles, toured on 3 continents, started Thrive Live Music with his partner Rai Maia, and shared the stage with a score of big-name artists in different genres.
This past summer, he completed a beach club residency at The Coral in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and also recorded and released his first solo album, Bigger Than This.

Rai
Rai is a singer-songwriter from Irvine, California. Her music infuses soul and funk, featuring sweet harmonies layered over compelling lyrics. She has had residencies at many notable venues in Phuket, including Cafe Del Mar, Yona, Carpe Diem, and Fuga beach clubs. She has been performing since 2012, when she won her first city-wide talent show. Since then, she has released several studio singles. As the vocalist for Thrive, she uses her experience singing R&B and the blues to enrich her performances across all genres. She believes that music has the power to bring out the best in people and uses the mic to encourage this positive energy.
